The Papa Robin Chronicles Ch 1
Chapter One
Starfire sat in her chair cozied up with an Earth book. Sighing, she looked out of the window and watched the stars twinkling above, wondering when she would return to them. Her room was cluttered, beauty magazines and scarves and bags scattered over her purple carpet, leftovers from recent shopping trips to which she dragged her very reluctant best friend Raven along. Smiling at the memory, Robi

The sky was black with smoke. Screams erupted from every building, every rooftop, street corners. Young children whose parents had gone out were left crying, alone, choking with the fumes that would soon consume them. Nobody knew what had come over the city, but they did know that this would be a very dark day in their history, if there was to be a future. Inside churches, believers and non-believers alike huddled together in prayer.
A low laugh echoed over the land, mounting until the ears of the citizens could barely hear their own screams. Lights flashed on and off, while the Tower of the

If you put a frog into boiling water, it will jump straight back out again.
However, if you put the frog into cold water and slowly boil it,
There it will remain, until it is dead.
Layers of ash, dirt clouds, disease and fear filled the air. On the hills surrounding the west of the city, sprays descended. These sprays followed a line down through the earth, mud and rock, into the upper mantle. The pipes that could allow for such usage were made of a titanium/tungsten alloy, available to the man only by secret services; for who would ever need such a thing for normal circumstances?
Molten lava was being poured onto the city
